After a stressful week last week of visa forms and being rejected by immigration, this week I had a nice quiet money-saving-my-god-how-am-I-so-broke-I’m-going-to-turn-into-a-hermit-until-my-bank-balance-is-out-of-the-ICU kind of a week so all I really did was go to work and play with my new camera. Therefore I have no stories to tell but here’s some snaps from this week instead!
Ah Queenstown, where the postman thinks it’s perfectly acceptable to leave an extremely valuable camera on my doorstep all day when I’m not home, and the realisation that it actually is ok, I love living here!
I’m loving my new camera but the quality and detail are so good that now every time I take a pic of my face all I can think is “there’s a new wrinkle” “hello large pore” “eye gunk, fantastic”. Sometimes I miss the ignorance-is-bliss quality of the iPhone!
Normally when I go for a trail run/hike somewhere I end up stopping now and then to take pics with my iPhone which is always with me. I decided to go for a run with my new canon (another example of me not thinking things through).Have you ever gone for a run with a large weight? It’s not as much fun as I thought. I looked like a lost shop lifter.
I’m loving this pic except for the fact that my leg is featured in the bottom right of it, I had to lie on the ground at an odd angle to take it and yes people wer staring!
I was sitting on the couch the other day with Gerry, Parsley, my iPhone, iPad and my new canon camera. I looked around and got all excited and said “look Gerry it’s all my favourite things in one place!” He asked me where he featured on the list. I told him he was in the top 5.
I arrived home from work to find Gerry fast asleep on the couch, he was looking very peaceful and adorable and I thought to myself that would be a really good photo so, at the risk of being a total creep, I crouched down beside his sleeping face and took a quick snap with the camera. He woke up when the flash went off to be greeted by a large camera inches from his face. Needless to say I got yelled at….I’m loving the pic tho!
Gerry: are u seriously bringing that camera out with us to lunch?
Me: Gerry just assume from now on that I am bringing the camera everywhere with us.
I love eyes!!
Parsley 🙂
Happy Monday 🙂
