39) Technophobe…

I have hundreds of postcards, if you come to my house u will see postcards on the walls, on the fridge, inbetween pages of books, I found a postcard in my sock drawer yesterday…
After years of collecting postcards I have decided that I really want to start making my own and so Irish Kiwi Postcards are born!

The arty photography side is not a problem however to start a successful business I found myself in need of some technology. Unfortunately technology is not my strong suit….

At the computer shop:
Me: Hi, I need a laptop
Computer shop man: They’re actually not called laptops anymore, they call them notebooks now
Me: *blank expression* oh…..
Computer shop man: What kind of processor did you need?
Me: *blank expression*
Computer shop man: Well this one here has a dual core processor, 8GB RAM and a 750GB hard drive.
Me: *blank expression*
Computer shop man: Any questions?
Me: Does is come in different colours?

After a week of owning it I had mastered how to turn it on and sign into Facebook. It was time for the next step!

Me: Hi I need a printer
Computer shop man: This one is $249
Me: Ok I’ll take it
Computer shop man: Great that comes to $486
Me: Am ok…why?
Computer shop man: Once upon a time monkeys travelled to space and they touched all the stars and planted moon flowers and the pollen fell down to earth and that’s why you also need to buy the insurance package
Me: Oh ok…

I’m pretty sure that’s what he said, I tend to daydream when people attempt to explain technology to me…
